Lucy scurried to get supplies, moving as quickly as she could while slipping on the blood-stained flooring. A never-ending cycle of injections, compressions, and fervent hope appeared to engulf time. Despite the pandemonium, Becky worked relentlessly and maintained a laser-like concentration. The weight of the fact that every second counted weighed heavy on her shoulders. Her legs ached from exhaustion, but she was determined not to let it stop her.
