Other Passengers Ignore
Around them, fellow travelers were absorbed in their own little worlds. Some wore headphones, engrossed in movies or music, while others had their noses buried in books, completely unaware of the tension brewing just a few seats away. Emily scanned the cabin, hoping for a sign of support or even a glimmer of acknowledgment, but everyone seemed intent on keeping to themselves. It felt as though she and the girl in front were sealed in their own fragile bubble, isolated from the rest.

The minutes dragged on, each one stretching endlessly as Emily’s irritation steadily grew. Every glance at the screen or attempt to relax was disrupted by the strand of hair dangling into her space—a persistent reminder of someone’s thoughtlessness. “It’s just hair,” she whispered to herself, but the words did little to quell her annoyance.
