Scene On Replay
Every element of the hospital scene was enlarged by my doubt, and it replayed itself in my head like a broken record. With uneasiness in my voice, I told Jane about the exchange. “They just left so quickly, it didn’t feel right,” I said. Jane nodded, her expression solemn. She remarked, “I’ve never seen them like that,” which was exactly what I was thinking. We all agreed that the unsolved enigma was still there, mocking us with its mysteries.

Jane’s Suggestion
Jane leaned forward, a plan beginning to take shape, her eyes glimmering with interest. She inquired, “Have you considered speaking with Lisa?” The thought was both alluring and intimidating, so I hesitated. It felt like opening Pandora’s box to confront Lisa and discover the truth. However, something needed to be done. I said, “Maybe you’re right,” as I considered my next course of action. Jane’s offer, however ambiguous, provided me with a direction, a potential route through the confusion that surrounded my thoughts.
