Jason joined us as the evening went on, putting a comforting arm around Lauren’s shoulder. Clark and I fell asleep to talk to family members who were still giddy with anticipation over the day’s activities. Everyone was laughing and telling stories, and they all looked to be in a good mood. Despite being surrounded by relatives, my thoughts were on the happy couple’s surprise. I glanced at Clark, as though he were reminding me of our covert scheme.

Following everyone’s arrival, a procession of delectable delicacies kicked off the celebration feast. Everyone soon began to savor the delectable feast, and the scent was amazing. The room was filled with laughter and conversation as the visitors savored their meals and were easily carried away by the festive mood. As glasses and cutlery clattered, I looked around and saw that everyone was genuinely happy right now.
