Arthur was remembering when Stuart’s shadow passed over him and roughly grabbed the box. “Just some old pictures. Who gives a damn? Stuart smirked mockingly as he spoke. Arthur saw Stuart toss the box away, denying its significance. However, Arthur didn’t take the bait. He was too familiar with the depth of memories captured in those pictures for Stuart to comprehend or value. It was difficult to ignore his relationship with Jared.

Arthur resisted Stuart’s condescending demeanor. “They were very important to Jared,” Arthur remarked softly. Uninterested, Stuart sneered. Arthur, however, stayed calm. In the garden, Jared’s presence outweighed any contemptuous remarks. Arthur clung to the belief that careless deeds could not obliterate Jared’s memories. With the past entwined into every leaf and bloom, every stride in the garden said volumes. Stuart’s apathy was unable to overcome the enduring power of genuine recollections.
