Just like any other ultrasound, Alexandra’s first ultrasound simply showed that she was pregnant. The doctors were delighted to see that she was healthy and had no impression that they would be seeing something unsettling or unusual upon her next visit for the next ultrasound.

Once again, Alexandra visited the doctor, but this time, she learned something new regarding her pregnancy and within several weeks, they detected a heartbeat. However, they did not just discover one heartbeat. They did not expect this as this was not what they were planning for.
