Channing Tatum played Mark Schultz in the film and he ended up creating a powerful portrayal of a mental breakdown. Tatum went off script and started beating himself up— he even broke a mirror with his head in the process. Ouch! Nonetheless, the director liked it and saw it fit to include in the movie!
