Joseph Gordon-Levitt was very committed to his role in 50/50. His character had cancer and the actor even decided to shave his hair on his own accord. According to his co-star Seth Rogen, the script did not include the moment but they came up with it on the spot. No wonder Rogen’s reaction in the movie seemed authentic!
