Adaptive is a passive camouflage technique developed by BAE Systems that prevents nearby infrared night division sensors from detecting military vehicles. In 2011, BAE Systems unveiled its Adaptiv infrared military camouflage technology. It compared the technique to a “thermal TV screen” at the time.
