Fear Of The Unknown
I felt a knot of anxiety tighten in my stomach as I watched them. What was the infant’s condition? Their response was perplexing because I had just given birth to a child who was in wonderful health. I looked from Lisa to Mark, expecting them to say something, anything at all, to explain their abrupt change. “Is there something I should know?” I asked quietly, attempting to hide my mounting anxiety. I felt a slight shiver of anxiety rise as I looked into their faces for answers that would not come.
