Cakes are the perfect way to celebrate a special event…who doesn’t love sugar and sprinkles galore?! But, presenting our loved ones with the perfect dessert can be quite stressful…so many things can go wrong! These cakes surely missed the mark; talk about complete fails! We can only hope the recipients of these cake massacres had a sense of humor!
Summer School Here We Come!
We’re sure this class was excited for school to end and for summer to begin…but, not so fast. They need some assistance with their spelling, hence the cake below. We hope the student’s English teacher didn’t join the party!

Summer School Here We Come!
Where Are The Stars & Sprinkles?
This cake-buyer was clearly interested in a cake with stars and sprinkles as decorations, not the words ‘stars and sprinkles’ written on the cake! We hope the birthday boy was satisfied with the effort exhibited here.

Where Are The Stars & Sprinkles?
What Do You “Rember”?
This cake goes to show how important spell checking is! This whole mishap could have been avoided had the cake designer used Microsoft Word or Google to double check their work. At least the cake design is pretty?

What Do You “Rember”?
Proofreading Is Crucial…
The saddest part about this fail is that the cake design is so adorable…just look at that princess and her frog! Too bad the talented designer wasn’t the best speller…we’re sure the recipients of this cake were less than happy!

Proofreading Is Crucial…
Laura & Her Cat Are Inseparable…Literally
Either Laura absolutely loves cats, or she told the cake designer to make a graduation cap on her head and they heard “graduation cat”. Whatever the case may be, this graduation fail is hilarious…Congratulations Laura!

Laura & Her Cat Are Inseparable…Literally
The Heart Makes It All Okay
We’ve all been there: trying our best to do something for a friend, but being way too tired to follow-through. We assume that was the case when this friend was making a cake for the birthday girl…we love the honesty here, and the heart at the end makes it all okay, right?

The Heart Makes It All Okay
Small Head Or Large Body?
The proportions aren’t quite right on this cake…either Hannah Montana has a really large body, or she has a very small head. The rest of the design is super cute though, we bet 9-year-old Lara was more than happy about her rockin’ Hannah Montana cake!

Small Head Or Large Body?
Starship Enterprise?
Funny enough, this cake designer got the Starship Enterprise NCC-1701 down perfectly…but, about the writing! For those who have never seen Star Trek, even we know it is spelled “Starship Enterprise’ and not ‘Starprise Entership’!

Starship Enterprise?
Woody Couldn’t Hold It
Toy Story character Woody really had to use the bathroom, and so he went! We hope we never eat whatever Woody had for dinner that day. At least he’s tipping his hat to the crowd, we have to forgive him for the hospitality he’s showing!

Woody Couldn’t Hold It
Minnie Mouse At 80 Years Old
Mickey and Minnie Mouse have been around for decades; it only makes sense that the couple is aging…right? We appreciate the dedication of the baker…maybe they had just never seen a photo of Minnie Mouse before? That would explain this complete disaster of a cake.

Minnie Mouse At 80 Years Old
Body Shop Time
We think it’s safe to say that this 4-year-old was expecting Lightning McQueen to be in tip-top shape for his big day. It looks like Lightning hit the guard rail a few times, or maybe his oil tank was leaking. Whatever the case may be, it’s time for this race-car to visit the body shop!

Body Shop Time
Grandma’s Dentures?
This cake would have been a lot less creepy had grandma’s dentures not been used! Although we do love the dedication put in for a family member, this porcupine cake is a total fail. We hope it tasted good to make up for the lacking appearance.

Grandma’s Dentures?
Now, Why Is Thomas Steamin’?
This cake is amazingly executed…just look at the precision of Thomas! But, one thing went horribly wrong…his facial expression! Why didn’t anyone tell the baker that Thomas the Tank Engine is a happy children’s character? It’s safe to say that this Thomas is steamin’!

Now, Why Is Thomas Steamin’?
Mars, Is That You?
Does this look like a planet to anyone? *crickets, crickets* Sadly enough, this cake baker was trying to create a planet, but it looks like a smeared mess, if you ask us! We think Earth may be easier to create next time: think blue waters and green land masses…easy!

Mars, Is That You?
Lamb Gone Wrong
This Easter cake is beyond creepy…just look at those dentures! It’s sad, because the cake artist is super talented! His/her attention to detail is amazing. We’re not sure why he/she decided to make the teeth look so ancient and we wish they hadn’t!

Lamb Gone Wrong
Bob Is Being Crushed
Bob the Builder’s famous slogan is “Bob the Builder– can we fix it?” “Bob the Builder – Yes We Can!” After seeing this cake, it looks like Bob isn’t going to be helping anyone! Our best guess is that Bob was trying his best to assist someone in need when a pile of bricks came crashing down on him. At least he’s still smiling? Ouch, that’s gotta hurt.

Bob Is Being Crushed
Spider-Man & A Garbage Bag?
It looks to us like Spider-Man is being shoved into a trash bag…does it not? Someone clearly isn’t a fan of the superhero, or maybe they were unhappy with how the cake turned out. Whatever the reason…Spidey should never be thrown away! We have no words for this cake fail.

Spider-Man & A Garbage Bag?
So Close…
Does this Little Mermaid resemble anything to that of Ariel on the left? We think not. The one thing this baker, or can we daresay wannabee baker, got right was her beautiful hair color! Let’s leave the cartoon-ing to Disney next time!

So Close…
At Least They Got The Color Right!
We’re almost positive this person wanted a cake that reads “Thanks For A Great Year” with purple font. The bakeshop must have taken the request a bit too literally…just take a look at this cake! At least they got the purple font correct, and the purple sprinkles!

At Least They Got The Color Right!
Happy “Bath”day?
Each year on the day we are born, do we celebrate our birthday or our “bathday”? This cake designer must have been super excited about taking a bath that evening…too bad it got in the way of his work! At least the cake design is nice?

Happy “Bath”day?
Two Times The Charm
Our best guess is that this cake was for an older person, hence the repetition. Or, someone went into the cake shop and deliberated about the message on the cake: Hmm “Happy Birthday…(thinks about it)…just happy birthday.” Welp, that’s exactly what they got!

Two Times The Charm
Buzz Gone Wrong
You know those people who overestimate their abilities? Yeah, this baker was definitely one of them…who knew a Buzz Lightyear cake could be so challenging! We do have to give this person credit for mirroring the angry look in Buzz’s eyes, and the buttons on his space gear, though!

Buzz Gone Wrong
Quite Literal
*Warning*: do not, we repeat, DO NOT crack jokes with the person baking your friend’s birthday cake! Look what can happen! We do think that this baker did this on purpose though…the customer clearly stated “don’t write that”! We hope Matt didn’t take it too personally!

Quite Literal
Make Sure You Don’t Forget The Blue Flowers
This customer made sure to make it clear that they wanted blue flowers on the cake they were ordering. Poor Adam got blue flowers and much more for his big day. We’re sure Adam never lived this day down…Mr. Blue Flower Man!

Make Sure You Don’t Forget The Blue Flowers
Marc With A “C”
People are naming their kids all sorts of crazy names these days, with even crazier spellings! As many of us know, the name Mark can be spelled two different ways: Mark and Marc. This customer made sure to differentiate, except the baker clearly didn’t get the memo!

Marc With A “C”
English, Please?
Hmmm we are at a loss for words with this one. “Congration you Done it”? We think (and hope) they meant to write “Congratulations, you did it!” It looks like someone gave a 5-year-old with amazing cursive the fondant that day.

English, Please?
Justin Bieber: Beef Edition
Who wouldn’t want a Justin Bieber cake for their birthday…or better yet, a Beef Justin Bieber concoction? Not only is the Biebs’ face made of ground beef, his hair is entirely made of bacon as well! We’re not sure what the teeth and eyes are made of, but we’re not sure we want to know!

Justin Bieber: Beef Edition
Mary Had A Little…Cat?
The nursery rhyme goes something like this “Mary had a little lamb”…right?! Maybe there’s another nursery rhyme about a cat with the same tune, because the bottom cake looks nothing like a lamb to us! More like a wet cat sitting in grass…fail!

Mary Had A Little…Cat?
Into The Future We Go!
It’s already the year 20010? Who knew! Unless time travels exists and we weren’t aware, we’re pretty sure this cake was supposed to celebrate the year 2010. Quick! Take out that blue balloon before anyone notices!

Into The Future We Go!
What Are We Celebrating Exactly?
Either a couple has just gotten married, or a gardening club is celebrating their yearly weeding event. There was either a really mad bride and groom, or an ecstatic gardening club. Whatever the case may be, at least the flowers are pretty!

What Are We Celebrating Exactly?
49ers Fans Will Not Be Happy
Superbowl cakes are a sure way to impress your football fanatic party-goers. Unless the team logo gets completely butchered like this one did! The foam finger was supposed to be holding up a #1, not flipping the party off! Complete fail!

49ers Fans Will Not Be Happy
Total Fail
Usually, cake decorators have beautiful and really professional penmanship…we aren’t sure who this bakery hired. We are also pretty positive that quotation marks were not necessary for the phrase, “we will miss you”. Better luck next time!

Total Fail
Honesty Is The Best Policy
We haven’t seen this kind of honesty in a long time! By the number of candles, we can assume that the birthday girl or boy was mature enough to laugh at their friend’s joke…at least we hope so!

Honesty Is The Best Policy
Nothing Else Matters
We can all agree that chocolate and M&M’s are a great combo…especially when topping a cake! We think this friend was even more excited about the cake he was bringing to the party…opposed to the party!

Nothing Else Matters
These Two Do Not Go Hand-In-Hand
Baby shower or funeral? We aren’t too sure. As if an ultrasound picture wasn’t creepy enough, the tombstone does it in! Our best guess is that the bakery made a cake for a baby girl and for a Halloween party on the same day. Now that makes more sense.

These Two Do Not Go Hand-In-Hand
